To register and vote in the federal election, you must be a Canadian citizen, at least 18 years old on election day, and prove your identity and address.
Elections Canada offices are open across the country. You can vote at any office before Tuesday, October 15, 6:00 p.m. Visit elections.ca to find the one nearest you.

- Bring your accepted ID
- If you haven't registered yet, you can do so at your assigned polling station
- Check your voter information card for your assigned polling station information
How do I register to vote?
You can register before or when you go to vote.
Register before you go to vote
- Use the Online Voter Registration Service before October 15, 6 p.m.
- Visit your Elections Canada office before October 15, 6:00 p.m.
Register when you go to vote
- At your assigned polling station on election day, October 21.
- At your assigned polling station on advance polling days, October 11, 12, 13 or 14.
- At any Elections Canada office across Canada before October 15, 6:00 p.m.
