To ensure the health of our staff and patrons, the library will be closed until April 5.

During this temporary closure, we are taking several steps to support you as much as possible.

If you have books currently on loan, please hold onto them. Our book drop will not be available while we’re closed. You will not incur any late fees and any outstanding library fines will not accumulate during this time.  Any outstanding library fines will not accumulate during this time.

Online services still open

All our online resources will still be available, 24/7 and can be accessed remotely using your library card. Visit www.bibliotheque.hawkesbury.on.ca to download eBooks, audiobooks and magazines and use our online resources.

The EOHU is taking your calls about COVID-19 (novel coronavirus) 7 days a week from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM and will get back to you as soon as possible. Thank you for your understanding.

Following the Eastern Ontario Health Unit directives, the Town of Hawkesbury wishes to notify the public of the preventive closure of the entire Sports Complex (multi room, halls, arena and swimming pool) starting Saturday, March 14, 2020 until a date to be decided later. This preventive action follows measures announced today by the Ministry of Health, which aim to curb the spread of Covid-19. These are precautions to ensure the health and safety of all Hawkesbury’s citizens, although no cases have been announced to date.

New partnership to jumpstart rural Ontario community’s efforts to bring homes to its residents.

Town of Hawkesbury will conduct pre-development work with the Alberta Rural Development Network (ARDN) in an effort to relieve mounting pressure on residents caused by a lack of affordable housing.
