RECOGNITION & SUPPORT OF NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS

The town of Hawkesbury has a recognition and support of non-profit organizations policy managed by the Recreation and Tourism Department.

The Town of Hawkesbury recognizes the importance of the community-based activities carried out by all organizations on its territory and offers its support. Therefore, for the organization, obtaining recognition makes it eligible for the services offered by the Town such as material, technical and/or professional support.

 

This year, the deadline to apply for a donation is March 31, 2023.

Organizations recognized by the Town of Hawkesbury may obtain the following support:

Promotional support

Listing in the Recreation Guide
Listing on the electronic message board
Temporary banner installation
Bulletin boards in municipal buildings
Listing on the Town’s website

Financial Support

Special Events Support
Support for the Establishment of New Organizations

Physical Support

Facilities Rental
Storage
Equipment Lending (tables, chairs, etc.)

Administrative Support

Photocopies
Insurance
All visual should be submitted to the communication officer.  Organisation are responsaible to give the advertising in the format and must comply to the town's visuel norms. 

In order for the Town of Hawkesbury to recognize an organization, the organization must:

Operate within the Town of Hawkesbury;
Offer humanitarian, educational, recreational, community, cultural or sports offers to the Town of Hawkesbury;
Have an open membership;
Not duplicate or offer competing services already offered by existing organizations that arerecognized by the Town;
Be led by a Board of Directors made up of volunteer members, elected democratically;
Respect the current policies and procedures of the Town;
Ensure that the majority of their Board of Directors, members and clientele be citizens of theTown of Hawkesbury;
Be prepared to submit activity and financial reports after obtaining the support of the Town.
