New Economic Development Action Plan

The Town of Hawkesbury is developing a comprehensive Economic Development Action Plan to guide economic growth, investment, and community prosperity from 2027 to 2031. The Action Plan will build on existing municipal plans and regional priorities, respond to current and emerging market conditions, and provide a clear, actionable roadmap to support business growth, investment attraction, downtown revitalization, and long-term community resilience.

October to December 2026: Plan Development

  • Drafting of the Economic Development Action Plan 
  • Definition of priorities and initiatives

  • Preparation of an implementation roadmap adapted to municipal capacity

January to February 2027: Finalization

  • Integration of feedback received 
  • Finalization of documents compliant with AODA requirements 
  • Preparation of summary documents 
  • Presentation of the Plan to the Municipal Council 
  • Delivery of the final version
