Les Castors Célestes are a singer-songwriter duo, he from France, she from Canada, now based in the Harrington Valley in Quebec. They have recorded two albums of original songs together, which can be heard on their website www.caluprod.bandcamp.com. Returning to the roots of French songs, they offer us a journey through time with hits by Charles Aznavour, Georges Brassens, Jacques Brel, Joe Dassin, Léo Ferré, Georges Moustaki, Edith Piaf, and others, in a warm, relaxed, and acoustic setting: guitar, vocals, and bass. It's enough to remind some of the Bohemian life of Saint-Germain-des-Prés in Paris from the 50s to the 70s, or to discover a bygone facet of the old world for others.
