Organizations across Ontario are hosting the “Run Where You Are” event. The session connects women and gender-diverse people who are considering running for municipal office in the October 2026 Ontario Elections. The virtual event features a panel of elected women from different municipalities sharing honest conversations about their decision-making process, campaign experiences, and what they wish they'd known before taking the leap.

Participants will learn about everything from fundraising realities to time management and where to find help along the way. Leadership féminin Prescott-Russell (LFPR) is proud to announce that one of its own, Councilor Lisa Deacon from Russell Township will be one of the panelists at the event!
