Since mid-January 2020, the City of Hawkesbury has been following the evolution of the Covid-19 closely for you with daily updates, relevant links and documents to download.

MUNICIPAL INFORMATION

Everyone has a role to play in reducing the risk of spreading COVID-19 - there is no option for anyone to opt out.

Social distancing is the key against Covid-19, so are the social circles.

The lives of Hawkesbury's people, especially our community's most vulnerable citizens, is in your hands and will depend on your actions over the coming days and weeks.

Following instructions from the Government of Ontario and the Eastern Ontario Health Unit, we are now entering stage 3 of phase 2 of deconfinment. A little step back to explain what are these phases. Phase 1 was one of awareness of what was going on. Its main purpose was to protect the sick population and support the economy. Phase 2 is the one where in now and we are in Stage 3, which is the last. It’s a reopening phase. It is of unlimited duration and also depends on the respect that society has for it’s measures. The last phase, the third, will be that of recovery. We will only be there with the arrival of effective drugs and / or the Covid-19 vaccine.

Town Hall is now open by appointment only. You must make an appointment by phone beforehand. Closed from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.

The Sports Complex is open 7/7 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Only the multi room is open for the moment and access to the equipment is limited. Pre-payment by electronic methods will be preferred.

The pool is currently closed.

O'Shack remains closed for the season.

Municipal Facilities Department

This service is operational. To report a breakage or an event related to municipal facilities (parks, green spaces, public facilities, etc.).

Fire Department

The station is currently closed to the public. However, the Fire Department is still operational 24/7, as usual.

For emergencies only, after the normal office hours of the Town Hall, call 613-632-1105.

Please note that the Departments will respond to various requests within 48 hours.

Public Works Department

This department is operational. To report a breakage or an event related to municipal infrastructure (roads, safe water, traffic, etc.).

In order to ensure the safety of the public and that of the municipal employees, the Town of Hawkesbury is canceling the Household hazardous waste collection scheduled for May 2 is also canceled, however the one scheduled on October 3, 2020 being maintained.

Garbage and recycling collections are carried out as usual.
