The Town of Hawkesbury Zoning By-law 20-2018 - Section 2.30 PARKING AND STORAGE OF VEHICLES - applies to all properties in the Town of Hawkesbury. Please consult the zoning by-law before applying for the permit below.
- The applicant for the curb cut must be the owner of the property.
- The curb in front of your property belongs to the Town and, as such, authorizations are required before making any changes to this property.
- The request must be for a curb cut only, not a sidewalk cut. No sidewalk cuts are authorized.
- The Town does not authorize curb cuts by outside contractors. The Town of Hawkesbury is the only entity designated to perform curb cuts in the Town.
- Fees for curb cuts will be forwarded to you upon receipt of your request.

The procedure for a curb cut request is as follows :
- Fill in the form below and attach a sketch of the proposed location for the edging, indicating the current and requested dimensions;
- Your sketch can be done by hand or by computer, but the following elements must be clearly identified :
- Property lines
- Existing driveway and width (m)
- The proposed cut and its width (m)
- If necessary, you can use this example as a guide

- The costs associated with edging will be forwarded to you once your request has been reviewed;
- All payments must be made prior to the start of the cut;
- Fees must be paid in person at Town Hall (door 1), either by cheque, debit or cash.
Please note that if payment is not made within the prescribed time, the cutting will not take place.
