NOTICE OF CHANGE OF DATE FOR A TOWN COUNCIL MEETING

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Town of Hawkesbury will hold a Regular Meeting of Council, open to the public, on Monday, August 11, 2025 and that the date on the municipal calendar, Monday, August 18, is erroneous. 

 

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Town of Hawkesbury will hold this REGULAR MEETING OF COUNCIL on :

Date: August 11, 2025

Time: 6:30 p.m.

Location: Council Chamber, Hawkesbury Town Hall, 600 Higginson Street, Hawkesbury, ON, K6A 1H1

 

There are two ways to attend the Town’s council meetings.

1- In person: At the Council Chamber located at Town Hall (600, rue Higginson, Hawkesbury).

2- At home via live broadcast on our YouTube channel. //www.youtube.com/@HawkesburyON

Why do we need to inform you about the decisions made by Town Council?

1- Municipal council meetings allow citizens to follow the deliberations and decisions made by their elected representatives, thereby promoting transparency in the decision-making process, and ensuring a degree of accountability on the part of elected officials to their constituents.

2- By watching the meetings, citizens can better understand the problems, projects and issues affecting their local community, staying informed about municipal developments and initiatives.

3- Some people watch council meetings to feel more involved in their community's affairs, which can inspire more active participation.

4- Citizens can use information from meetings to express their opinions and ask questions, strengthening the bond between elected officials and the population.
