This Tuesday, June 24, the Town of Hawkesbury raised the inclusive intersex Pride flag in front of Town Hall in honor of Pride season.
The Town is proud to support the 2SLGBTQIA+ community and contribute to the creation of a welcoming, safe and inclusive environment for all. For the occasion, the Mayor of the Town of Hawkesbury, Mr. Robert Lefebvre, delivered a speech underlining the importance of this event:
"[...] Let this flag serve as a visible symbol of our Town’s commitment to building a community where diversity is embraced, and every person—regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity—can live with pride, safety, and respect. Happy Pride season!"
This flag-raising reminds us that everyone deserves to be seen, heard and respected. This Pride season, let's celebrate the differences that unite us, and let's work together to create a town where everyone feels at home, safe and fully accepted.
